Comms Local Gmail
Comms Local Gmail is a personal desktop command-line utility operated by John Marcel Williams. It helps its owner search communications, review recent conversations and identify messages that may need a reply.
The utility is for its owner's own account and computer. It is not offered as a public email service and this website does not provide an account sign-in or mailbox viewer.
Read-only access
With the owner's Google authorization, Comms Local Gmail reads Gmail message information and email body text to create a searchable local index. It requests only the Gmail read-only permission. It can also index communications already available on the owner's computer.
The CLI cannot send email, create drafts, change labels, mark mail read or unread, or delete messages from Gmail. It does not call an AI model. At the owner's direction, selected results may be reviewed separately with an assistant for communications search, summaries and reply planning.
Local storage and owner control
The index and authorization credentials are stored locally on the owner's Mac. The owner chooses when to refresh the index and can revoke Google access and delete local copies. Records can be incomplete or out of date, so the owner checks the original conversation before acting.
